This is the place to come for details of all UK events surrounding the Line of Fire Project!
Stop press! Barroux will be appearing at the Edinburgh International Book Festival 2014 in his first ever joint event with War Horse author Michael Morpurgo, who of course wrote the introduction to the English language edition of Line of Fire. Michael and Barroux will be joined on stage by the book's translator, Sarah Ardizzone, in this one-off Franco-British WW1-themed which is not to be missed! Tickets will be on sale from June 24th. Book via the event listing on the festival's website here.
All the events advertised on this page are public events. We will always specify if the event is targeted to a certain age group or audience, but generally all are always welcome.
Our schools and educational programme runs alongside the public events and signings, and is managed separately. Barroux and his translator, Sarah Ardizzone, are both very experienced artists, speakers and curators of book events for young people (scroll down to see photos from their previous school and pupil events in the gallery). The content of school events can be tailored to your pupils and often start with ideas raised in the teaching resources. If you would like either or both Barroux and Sarah to visit your school in the second half of 2014 or 2015, please get in touch by contacting email@example.com We’ll be blogging about the schools programme over on the Line of Fire blog.
Anyone who has been to one of Barroux’s drawing workshops or seen him live in action can testify that his events are opportunities not to be missed. Likewise, Sarah Ardizzone’s translation-in-education talks and resources are an inspirational eye-opener. If you've been to one of our events, we’d love to hear about your experiences - please do get in touch!
